구유구는 '황제내경 소문 천원기대론'에서, "陰陽之氣 各有多少 故曰三陽三陰也. 形有盛衰 謂五行之治 各有太過不及也"(음양의 氣는 각각 多少가 있으므로 3陽3陰이라고 말합니다. 形에는 성쇠가 있어 5행으로 다스려 진다고 말하며 각각 태과불급이 있습니다)라고 氣의 3다소와 5形의 성쇠를 설명한다.
