기백은 '황제내경 소문 6미지대론'에서, "至而至者和 至而不至 來氣不及也. 未至而至 來氣有餘也"(이르렀는데 이른 것은 和이고, 이르렀는데 이르지 않은 것은 氣가 오는 것이 不及한 것이며, 이르지 않았는데 이른 것은 오는 氣가 有餘한 것이다)라고 至氣와 來氣로 中和를 설명한다.

Qibo in Huangdineijingsuwen Liuweizhi Dalunpian: Major Discussion on the Abstruseness of the Six Kinds of Qi said, “The phenomenon marked by the arrival of both the concerned season and Qi indicates peace; the phenomenon markd by the arrival of the concerned season and non-arrival of Qi indicates deficiency of Qi; the phenomenon marked by the arrival of Qi in advance of the arrival of the concerned season indicates excess of Qi." It explains the 中和 (balance) by the arrival of the concerned season and the arrival of Qi.
至和
黄帝在黄帝内经,六微旨大论说:“时至而气亦至的, 为平和之年;时至而气不至的, 是气有所不及; 时未至而气已至的,是气有余。” 这以至气与来气说明中和。
